CRABTREE ROAD  (Rutland Terrace)
My family have longstanding connections with Brookfields, Hockley & Winson Green. I was baptised at All Saints Church in 1950, and attended All Saints School from the mid to late 50's.
My first home was 6, Rutland Terrace, Crabtree Road. I took this photo in August 1991 of Rutland Terrace that had been built in 1888 and is still there.  No.6. was also the home of my godparents, Maisie & Hector Allcott  where my parents were living at the time later in the mid1960's we moved to no.3 .

Nash Coach  Taken about 1960,  a works outing from the "Birmingam Box Co"  Western Road. My sister Pauline (Baynes) is seen in the centre crouched down with my sister Audrey on her left .
Nash's were well utilised for such occasions, and according to my sister Audrey Whitworth, Nash's were around Cape Hill near to the Odeon Cinema on the opposite side of the road to  M&B's Brewery. From Ken Aston

Nash's Coaches used to start from Raglan Rd.  I can remember going into the back with my dad where Billy Nash made us very welcome.  Bills daughter and Niece as they are still there.
Do you rememember an Interlude short on the Telly called I Spy.
The programme one day spied the letter S and they chose Stourport On Severn. One of Nash's Chara's had gone into the river. My dad said he was driving the Chara that was Towing it out. Knowing my old man he was probably drunk and backed it into the river in the first place. From Bryan Drew  14/10/02
